The TVR and a Mercedes SLK were racing on the highway on a sunny Saturday morning, doing well in excess of 200km/hr. The driver of the TVR lost control, ramped off the highway and slammed into the paved embankment along the side of a road that passes under the highway. Although no other people were injured, the TVR driver was killed instantly.
