The 'baby lambo' features a 5.2 litre, 560bhp, V10 engine. 540 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm helps
launch the Gallardo from 0-62 in 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 202 mph. Like all other
Lamborghinis, apart from the Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni, the LP560-4 features all wheel drive giving it magnificent grip in all weather conditions and means loss of traction is rarely an issue.
This AWD, which features in most Lamborghinis, was brought in by its owners, Audi, who felt that the rip-
snorting, fire-breathing lambos of old with rear wheel drive were not practical enough for everyday
driving so introduced AWD which led to an easier car to drive for the less skilled driver while still
giving the more advanced driver a serious sports car which can be taken to the limit both on the
road and track.
