Jaguar E-Type

On a recent visit to Porto Cervo, Sardinia, we stumbled upon the launch of the new Audi RS4 press launch. This incorporated a classic car race with various Porsches, Corvettes and this wrecked Jaguar E-type - tucked away in the back of a transporter truck. As far As I could see, this is an original car as the bodywork is metal and not fibreglass. Perhaps other visitors to the site know more about this particular incident?
