Koenigsegg One:1
Nurburgring, Germany
The Koenigsegg One:1 that was out at the Nurburgring to set a new record has crashed. These photos reveal what appears to a be a high speed crash, where the 1 of 7 megacar lost control at the Adenauer Forst section, before hitting the guardrail. The impact was so heavy that the hypercar eventually caught fire, which was contained immediately. The driver walked away unharmed, despite the magnitude of the crash. The incident took place today in the afternoon. As it turns out, they were testing various setups for upcoming cars as part of their developmental process. In a statement released by Koenigsegg, the Swedish car maker has confirmed that the wrecked car will be rebuilt. The car in question is chassis #107 which was indeed the second One:1 to be made and later showed at Goodwood in 2014. It was also the first One:1 to be privately registered (German customer) and features clear coated carbon fiber and gold stripes while the interior is themed in black.
