Guy Rents Ferrari to Enter Race. Immedietely Wrecks It

Owner of this Ferrari rented out his car to a guy that was racing for the first time.  The deal was $18,000 for 3 days worth of racing.  Turned out to be a big mistake, because the driver wrecked it on turn 14 at Road America Track in Plymouth, WI.   The estimated repair cost is $100,000. No word on whether the Ferrari was insured properly.

Generally not a good idea to rent your Ferrari to a first-time race car driver.  What was he thinking?
