History of the Enzo
Ferrari first introduced the Enzo to the world at the 2002 Paris Motor Show. They were originally going to produce only 349 units, but the demand was so strong, they decided to build 50 more. The MSRP was originally $650,000, but the value was quickly driven up to over $1 million. The Enzo can accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 3.2 seconds with a top speed estimated at over 220 mph.Insurance for the Ferrari Enzo can be up to $120,000 per year.
Offshoots of the Enzo include the Ferrari FXX. Sold only to specially selected clients, this car is not street legal and can only be driven on tracks.
Noteworthy Crashes
Practically every crash involving an Enzo is noteworthy, but here are a couple that stand out more than usual:
This legendary crash is perhaps the most famous exotic crash in history. The driver, Stefan Erikssen, tore the Enzo in half near Malibu after crashing at nearly 200 mph. Turns out the Ferrari was stolen.
Driven by the 72nd richest man in the world, this Enzo wrecked shortly after being purchased. Driving recklessly through heavy traffic caused this terrible wreck.
